About Dr. Afaque Manzoor
Dr. Afaque Manzoor is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on bio-inspired soft robotics, flexible sensors, and wearable electronics, with an emphasis on the design, modeling, and fabrication of soft robotic systems using advanced manufacturing techniques.
His research integrates robotics, materials science, and electronics to develop intelligent soft systems for next-generation wearable technologies, healthcare monitoring, and environmental sensing applications.
Dr. Manzoor received his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering from Jeju National University, South Korea. Prior to joining Washington University, he served as Assistant Professor at Sukkur IBA University where he established the Advanced Micro-Mechatronics and Energy (AMME) Lab. His research spans soft robotics, flexible electronics, advanced materials, and energy systems.
He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in soft robotics, wearable sensing technologies, and advanced materials, and actively collaborates on interdisciplinary research projects across robotics, healthcare technologies, and environmental monitoring.
